Airfares can vary in cost depending on the time. Promotional offers may be available for students and passengers under the age of 26. Discounted fare is often offered by low-cost carriers and discount agents. The cheapest scheduled ticket is an APEX which requires advanced booking and allows a stay over a Saturday night in Germany and a fixed return date.

The largest international airports are the ones in Frankfurt and Munich. The Frankfurt Airport is connected by an express train, making trips to the city fast and convenient.

Passengers can indulge in fine dining at the variety of decent bars and cafes in Frankfurt Airport, including Hermann’s, Manzana, and Liquid Lounge. They may also shop at the Airport City Mall. Money exchange facilities and a dry cleaner are available too.

The Munich Airport is smaller but just as comprehensive. Visitors can access the city easily via the Airport-Bus from the airport every 20 minutes. The new Berlin Brandenburg International Airport is set to open soon and will cater to many international passengers as well.
