About Ettal Monastery and Zugspitze Tour

Start your day trip at Ettal Monastery where you can see the lives of the Benedictine monks residing at the monastery. The monastery was built in 1330 and until now, we are privilege to see its immaculate beauty because of the devotion and uphill struggle of the resident monks, and at times knights.

After your inspiring visit at the monastery, you will head to Zugspitze, Germany’s highest peak which measures 9,788 feet. From Eibsee, you will ride in the cable car to the highest point of the mountain where, on a sunny weather, you can observe the peaks of hundreds of Bavarian Alps Mountains in Austria, Switzerland and Italy.

After pampering your eyes with the picturesque views from the observation platform, you will go down the mountain aboard the Zugspitzbahn, a cogwheel train.
